Tips and Tricks: April

A lovely time around the garden collecting textures with a frottage technique

Here’s a new Tips and Tricks video for you to brighten up your day.

This month I am using the theme ‘All things drawn’ and I wanted to share that drawing as a term might not always be what you think. I tend to differentiate between drawing and collecting, with the latter more tuned to gathering information and this frottage (rubbing) technique is something I often encourage people to do as it makes you look more closely at texture, rather than taking up a pencil and trying to replicate it in more traditional ways.

I do hope you enjoy the video and let me know how you have got on with collecting a similar subject, either by commenting below or by tagging @aliboardartist on social media.

Please note that there is no audio for this video, just lovely relaxing music for you to enjoy.

See you soon, Ali
