Thirty Two of Fifty: Narcissi

Thanks for visiting this auction page for my 50 at 50 challenge, if you’re not sure what the project is and what I’m trying to achieve, you can read more about it on the introduction page HERE. By navigating backwards and forwards through the blog, you can view all of the paintings that are available to bid on, with 50% of the profit going to the Dorset Wildlife Trust. Today I am pleased to share the thirty-second in the collection, Narcissi.

If you are reading this blog for the first time or have returned to see more of the collection, then thank you so much for your interest in my work, it means a great deal and you might like to know a little more about this piece? I have put another daffodil painting in the 50 collection so far but I couldn’t resist this one being included too as it is a favourite piece of mine that I have painted for the exhibition, I love the challenge that these flowers bring to my painting skills and to also share a little piece of myself in the make-up of the composition. Artists often share their personalities in their work, mine is not hard to read as I am a pretty open book and I think these flowers reflect my attitude to my life and work as well as being such lovely subjects to paint.

All the details of how you can bid on the paintings are detailed below the image, or you can read about them HERE. Stay tuned throughout the year for lots more paintings and creativity, I’d be thrilled if you can join me, Ali

HOW TO BID:
Below you will find the full details of how you can bid on a piece in the 50 at 50 collection, helping Ali to raise money for Dorset Wildlife Trust.

On this website, under the 50 at 50 menu is a page titled ‘50 at 50 - The Auction’, a shortcut can be found HERE.

Below the blog post is a comments box, please type your bid starting at £50.00 in the section and if someone has already bid, please increase the amount in whole pounds by supplying an additional comment. You will be required to input a name and email address, although no one but the website administrators can see your email address, and it will only be used to contact you when the auction has ended. If you wish to post anonymously, please see step 5.

  3. The bids for ALL fifty paintings will close on SUNDAY 9TH JUNE 2024 when Ali will name the winning person for each of the paintings, please keep an eye on her social media and the individual blog post to see if it is you.

  4. You will be invited to email Ali via alisoncboard@gmail.com (please add this address to your contacts) and she will give you the details of how you can pay (BACS, cheque, cash at the studio or credit card at the studio. If you require extra shipping insurance, that will be charged in addition to your winning bid. You will have seven days to reply to your email, after which Ali will contact the next highest bidder so please be prepared that you may still win the painting, even if your bid was not the highest.

We will do our best to make sure it gets to you as safe as it possibly can but if you would prefer an extra level of insurance for an extra fee, please let us know in the conversation after the bids have closed.

  7. All fifty paintings will go on display at Ali’s studio during Dorset Art Weeks, 25th May to the 9th June 2024 and therefore NO paintings will be available to purchase prior to those dates to uphold the integrity of the display.

  8. Please ensure you have sufficient funds before placing your bid and your comment will be seen as compliance with these rules.

Thank you for reading this far, your support of Ali’s work and GOOD LUCK!
