Watercolour and Acrylic painting techniques can work together to create interesting textures, throw in the use of a palette knife and mountain scenes will appear on your paper. This workshop will revise both media and Alison will show you one of her favourite resist formulas for an atmospheric winter scene.
Once you’ve booked your class you will be sent a confirmation email and more information regarding materials and equipment will be sent in good time for your session.
Whole Day, 10:00 - 16:00 (approximately, may finish earlier or later, please arrive by 09:45), participant to supply the majority of their own materials.
Media specific using a single subject as inspiration with the emphasis on you expanding your application skills.
Demonstration of project at the start of the day and then each participant works on their own piece with one-to-one tuition as the day progresses.
Suitable for the BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATES or ADVANCED.
A password will be sent to you nearer to your session for you to be able to download the resources that we will be using on the day and you will need to prepare a few elements before your visit.
Downend Farm Studio is a fully-equipped, purpose-built studio with parking, disabled access, enclosed garden, toilet, and a kitchen area with drinks facilities. Refreshments are provided in all classes and workshops and a fridge is available to use if your packed lunch (please bring with you) needs to stay chilled. The studio also houses an art materials shop which will be open during your class and picture framing services you can enquire about.
